Donors Recognized at the 1899 Society Cocktail Reception

(November 21, 2011) -- About 50 members of the 1899 and GOLD Societies gathered at the College on November 16 for the annual 1899 Society Cocktail Reception. The 1899 Society recognizes alumnae/i, parents, and friends who support the College through cumulative annual gifts of $1,899 or more. Members contribute over half of the overall revenue raised by the College each year.

Members heard remarks from Chair of the Making Education Work Campaign Trustee Kathy LaPoint '84 and the Chair of the Annual Fund Trustee Christian Pope Campbell '91 about the importance of their philanthropy and the impact of their support to the Annual Fund. President Drinan spoke about Strategy 2015 and her vision for the future of Simmons and the ways in which guests can continue to support her vision.
